Man charged with impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 9 p.m. last night, police received a traffic complaint regarding an ATV on River View Line between Drake Road and Dillon Road.

An officer on general patrol located the ATV and through investigation believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

A 37-year-old Comber man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was released pending a future court date of February 7, 2020.

Woman charged with impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 2:30 a.m. this morning, police received information about a suspected impaired driver who just left a drive thru on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

An officer on general patrol located the vehicle on Grand Avenue and a traffic stop was attempted.

The woman continued driving and finally stopped on Croydon Street.

Through investigation, the officer believed the woman was driving while under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested.

As the woman exited her vehicle, the officer learned that she was not wearing pants or shoes.

The woman was transported to police headquarters for breath tests where she failed to provide two suitable samples.

The 39-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and refusing to provide a breath sample.

She will be released when sober pending a future court date of February 7, 2020.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, a man wanted for domestic related offences, attended police headquarters and turned himself in.

The 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released pending a future court date of February 18, 2020.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning, an officer on general patrol located a man in the area of King Street West and Phyllis Avenue, who was wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident at Walmart in Chatham earlier this month.

A 26-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released pending a future court date of February 7, 2020.

Stolen truck in Muirkirk

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, unknown suspects stole a green 2012 Ford F-150 pick-up truck from a residence on Teetzel Line.

The truck was last seen with Ontario license plates 816 0FM.
