‘I Read Canadian’ at CKPL

Celebrate Canadian literature by reading a Canadian book for 15 minutes on Wednesday, February 19! Read alone, in groups, or aloud. Ebooks, audiobooks, accessible format, picture books, board books, comics, novels, in English, in French, Indigenous languages, any language: Everything is fair game!

I Read Canadian Day is a nationwide initiative that celebrates the richness, diversity, and breadth of Canadian literature. The initiative was created as a collaboration between the Canadian Children’s Book Centre, children’s author Eric Walters, Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers, and the Ontario Library Association.

Chatham-Kent Public Library has 11 locations across Chatham-Kent where you can pick up Canadian books. CKPL also has a virtual library, accessible 24/7 with your library card. Stop in to chat with staff, or find your next Canadian read at search.ckpl.ca
