Kniaziew Optometry holds ribbon cutting in Wallaceburg

Kniaziew Optometry officially launched their third location in Chatham-Kent on Friday, February 14, this time in Wallaceburg.

A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was held at 940 Dufferin Avenue, the former location of Chuck’s Restaurant.

Dana Haggith caught up with Jordan Kniaziew, vice president of business development, for an interview. Listen, here:

Lianne Rood, MP for Lambton-Kent-Middelsex, was on hand for the ribbon cutting, along with Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff, Wallaceburg Councillor Aaron Hall and members of the Chatham-Kent Economic Development Department.

“We’re glad to be supporting a family business that is #GrowingCK through business investments,” Economic Development officials stated on social media.

Following a successful launch of their new location in Blenheim last year, Kniaziew Optometry announced they would be expanding into Wallaceburg back in August.

Chatham-Kent Economic Development officials said the full-service office includes pre-testing, eye exam, dispensing and an on-location lab to ensure patients get both timely and quality service.

“This expansion allows us to extend our professional eye care by adding this third location in Chatham-Kent and brings to six as the total for all our offices,” stated Dr. Richard Kniaziew, Founder and President of Kniaziew Optometry, in a press release back in August.

“It also ensures that all of our Chatham-Kent patients can receive the top-level eye health care treatment that we are known for over the last four decades. We are so thankful to the community and have been overwhelmed with the support for our team of Doctors.”

Stuart McFadden, Director of Chatham-Kent Economic Development, says the new office is testament to the growth of the area.

“Kniaziew Optometry continues to invest in, and believe in, Chatham-Kent’s growth with their third location,” McFadden stated.

“We are proud of the continued success of Kniaziew Optometry for giving the great community of Chatham-Kent a high level of professional eye health care.”

Kniaziew Optometry has been serving patients’ eye health care needs in Southwestern Ontario for over 40 years with practices in Leamington, Essex, Tecumseh, Chatham, Blenheim and now Wallaceburg.

Kniaziew Optometry offers a wide range of optometry services and eye care products; including eyeglasses, specialty eyewear, frames and contact lenses.

“We have staff willing to help in any way they can,” Kniaziew said.

“And we are excited to be a part of such a welcoming community like Wallaceburg.”
