It was an exiting two days in November for Elizabeth Suni, owner of Chatham-Kent based Wooly Doodle when she was invited to the Shopify headquarters in Ottawa to be one of four businesses to participate in an International event.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to be one of four Shopify Merchants chosen to be part of two days worth of focus groups and workshops,” said Suni. “The workshops were focused on sharing our experiences as merchants with their team to help improve their offerings.”
Suni, who represented not just Chatham-Kent but all of Canada, sat alongside three leading New York business owners to discuss their experiences as merchants.
“On November 14, I was provided the opportunity to speak on a panel at their shipping team’s event along with the four other merchants,” said Suni. “The panel was a wonderful opportunity to share the Wooly Doodle story with the company who is helping to power my online and point of sale systems.”
Suni added, “There was over 200 team members in the room who were engaged and interested in our thoughts and feedback. The entire event was inspiring.”
The Ottawa-based company, which provides technology to online retailers, recently announced that it is expanding their workforce with another 1000 employees in Vancouver.
“It’s no wonder they are growing, Shopify is listening to understand what really matters to Merchants and our end-users. When they make the shopping experience easier and more seamless for my customers, everyone wins,” said Suni.
