Damage is estimated at $250,000 and the cause is undetermined, after a garage fire in Blenheim on Friday, September 15, 2023.
“Pumper 18, Pumper 14, Rescue 18, Rescue 14, Tanker 18, Ladder 18 responded to 112 Maxwell Street for a structure fire shortly after midnight,” fire officials say.
“Fire crews reported the garage was fully engulfed upon arrival. Firefighters were able to quickly stop the fire before it spread to the home. Crews also worked to protect the nearby neighbouring home which suffered some exterior fire damage.”
The homeowners were able to exit the home safely with no injuries, fire officials say.
Chatham-Kent Police and Victim Services were on scene providing assistance to the homeowners, fire officials added.
