Surveillance footage helps with arrest after fishing poles were stolen in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 20, 2024, at 5:40 p.m., police responded to Lafontaine Street in Wallaceburg for a theft investigation.

The officer learned a man attended the address and stole fishing poles.

The man was identified via surveillance footage.

On May 21, 2024, at 7:31 p.m., the investigating officer located the man on Reaume Avenue in Wallaceburg and arrested him. He was charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

He was released with a future court date of June 10, 2024.
