Bail violations in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 9 p.m., police began a bail violation investigation when information was received a man on a curfew condition was seen outside his residence after his curfew. Police attended the man’s home and confirmed he was out after his curfew. On May 24, 2024, at 1:30 a.m., the 23-year-old Chatham man was located and arrested. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He has been charged with failing to comply with a release order.

Upon arrival, officers located the man and confirmed he had been released by the court with a curfew condition. The 38-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He has been charged with failing to comply with a release order.
