‘Pies and Purses’ fundraiser upcoming in Wallaceburg

The St. James Anglican Church members are holding a Pies and Purses fundraising Auction fundraiser for Mom’s Baby Cupboard in Wallaceburg on Saturday October 22 at the UAW Hall on Elm Street.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the auction starts at 7 p.m.

Mom’s Baby Cupboard provides diapers, wipes, formula, baby food and gently used baby clothing to families in need of these items.

They service on average 35 mom’s, and 50 or more babies each month.

The ‘Cupboard’ is able to provide these items at no charge thanks to generous donations given by the community.

The ‘Cupboard’ which is located at St. James Anglican Church is open on the second Thursday of every month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The fund raiser auctions off pies and new purses stuffed with surprise ‘goodies’. There is no admission fee, but for $3 you may enjoy a slice of pie and beverage during the auction.
