While the RCMP Musical Ride isn’t set to entertain the crowd at the Dresden Raceway until Wednesday evening, their crew is already warming hearts in the Dresden community.

Part of the RCMP squad stopped by Park Street Place, a retirement residence in Dresden, to say hello to the staff and residents.

“The RCMP stopped in this morning with their horses,” Park Street Place staff posted on social media.

“They are in town for the Magical Ride Show later today. The residents and staff both enjoyed seeing them.”

The RCMP Musical Ride is performed by a full troop of 32 riders and their horses.

Their performance consists of intricate figures and drills choreographed to music, which demands the utmost control, timing and coordination.

The Musical Ride performs in up to 50 communities across Canada between the months of May and October and they help raise thousands of dollars for local charities and non-profit organizations.

The Dresden Agricultural Society is teaming up with Racing Against Drugs to bring the ride to town.

Organizers are expecting a huge crowd for the show.
