“Each month there is a birthday party for all the people that have birthdays within that month,” said Pete Hensel, president of the board. “It is usually the last Friday of that month. Everybody is invited to come to the birthday’s and the ones who have birthdays they are named at that party.”

Hensel added: “Certain holidays we celebrate with a supper together. That is catered by Sue’s Kitchen and she is a valuable asset to us. She is a new addition since March of this year. Sue’s Kitchen’s hours is until 2 p.m. Monday to Friday.”

Hensel said Cheryl Burrage, the coordinator at the Centre, is present when the Centre is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during weekdays.

“She is essentially in the 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. range. If there happens to be a program going on then the Centre is open.”

The exercise rooms are open as long as the Centre is open, so if a program is running or it is in the daytime,, members can use the exercise equipment.
