Coffee drinkers in Wallaceburg have been curious for the past month, as construction was on-going at the Dufferin Avenue Tim Horton’s.
Paula Grail, owner of the Wallaceburg store, said a soft opening is taking place Monday, February 24.
“On Tuesday we’ll be completely open,” she said.
Local construction workers have been working consistently for the past month to, what Grail said will give a “completely different look on the inside and outside.
“I can’t believe four weeks has already gone by. They’ve done a lot of work in a short time,” she said.
Grail said the revamped store will have a fireplace, lounge seating and a “theatre baking” feature, where the food will be finished right in front of the guests.
“All the new stores or any being renovated or built are being designed like this,” Grail said. “It will have a very home-style atmosphere. We want a relaxed, at home, welcoming atmosphere. We want people to feel like they’re at home and comfortable. It will have a similar look to our store by the cinema in Chatham.”
The store operated out of a mobile trailer during construction.
The official grand re-opening is set for March 22.
