After a series of successful shows, the Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts is bringing one of Canada’s biggest musical groups to the Jeanne Gordon Theatre on Saturday, March 29. Lunch at Allen’s, featuring Murray McLauchlan, Cindy Church, Marc Jordan and Ian Thomas, will present an evening of great tunes and wonderful harmonies.

Marc Jordan and Ian Thomas’ songs have been recorded by everyone from Rod Stewart to Bette Midler, and Diana Ross to Santana. Murray McLauchlan’s hits have covered Canadian airwaves from coast to coast. Cindy’s (the sweetest) voice and songs are well known on the folk festival circuit through her solo work and as a member of Quartette with Sylvia Tyson. Together, it seems as though they’ve been playing for years with an energy and freshness like they’ve just met.

And patrons of the show can expect to pay almost the same low admission price they’ve been paying for past shows. Ticket price for the Lunch at Allen’s show will be $30 and tables can be reserved for groups of six or more.

“We’re extremely lucky to have been able to book this nationally recognized group for our series,” said Arts Council director John Gardiner. “This is one of the biggest shows we’ve ever booked and we’re doing it as a way to say thanks to the many people who’ve supported us in the past. Make sure you get your tickets as soon as you can so you won’t be left out.”

Tickets for the show are available now and can be reserved by calling the Wallaceburg and District Museum at 519-627-8962. For further information on the show, please call John at 519-627-5978. There will be a cash bar. Showtime is 8:00 p.m.
