4 Apples (I like to use Northern Spy)
2T All purpose Flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Pinch of Nutmeg
Frozen 8 inch pie shell
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cold butter
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 425F. Â Peel and slice the apples 1/3 inch think. Blend 2 T od all purpose flour with the granulated sugar and seasonings. Toss with the sliced apples. Â Mound in frozen pie shell. Â Stir brown sugar with 1/2 cup of all purpose flour, cut butter into small cubes and add. Â Cut through mixture with 2 knives until it looks pebbly. Â Evenly sprinkle over apples. Â Place pie on a cookie sheet on the bottom shelf of the oven. Bake 10 min at 425F. Â Turn over to 350F and bake another 40 minutes until apples are tender. Â Serve with ice cream or sour cream.
