Municipal offices, including service counters, will be closed on Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21 for the Easter Holiday weekend. Other services are scheduled as follows:
• EMERGENCY SERVICES – Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day every day and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only.
• Libraries – All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed April 18 and 21 for Good Friday and Easter holidays. Branches will be open regular business hours on Saturday, April 19.
• RECREATION FACILITY OPERATIONS – Blenheim Arena is closed Friday and Sunday and open Saturday and Monday. Memorial Arena in Chatham is closed Friday and open Saturday through Monday. All other arenas are closed for the season, except for specific bookings.
• SWIMMING POOLS – Both the Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be closed Friday, April 18 (Good Friday) and Sunday, April 20 (Easter Sunday). Each pool will have its regular schedules for Saturday, April 19 and Monday, April 21. Free Open Swim at Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool. The Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will have a free Open Swim Monday, April 21 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
• CULTURAL SERVICES – Ridge House Museum is open Friday to Monday 1:00-PM to 5::00 PM. The Thames Art Gallery and Chatham-Kent Museum will be closed on Friday and open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The Box Office will be closed Friday through Monday and re-open Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM and administration offices will be closed Friday through Monday and re-open Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM.
• CEMETERY OPERATIONS will be closed on Friday. Cemetery staff will be on call to handle cemetery business for funeral home operations on Saturday and Monday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
• GARBAGE AND RECYCLING – Collection services will only be affected by the Good Friday holiday (April 18). Those residents who would normally receive curbside collection on Friday, April 18, will receive it on Saturday, April 19. There are no collection changes for the week of April 21 (Easter Monday). • TRANSFER STATIONS/LEAF AND YARD – The Harwich Transfer Station, Wallaceburg Transfer Stations and Chatham Leaf and Yard Depot will be closed on Good Friday (April 18), but open on Easter Monday (April 21).
• TRANSIT – All CK Transit services (Conventional, Inter-urban and Accessible) will not be operating on Friday April 18, 2014 due to the statutory holiday.
• PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES (including Clinic Services located at 177 King Street East, Chatham) – These services are closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Essential public health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.
• CHILD CARE LEARNING CENTRES (Wallaceburg and Mayor Court) – These centres are closed Friday, April 18 and re-open on Monday, April 21.
• RIVERVIEW GARDENS – Reception and Administrative offices will be closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but services, activities and visiting hours continue as normal over the holiday weekend. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519.352.4823.
• ENTEGRUS (electricity) will be closed Friday through Monday inclusive. In case of emergencies, customers can call 1-866-267-7997.
• PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION (PUC) will be closed Friday through Monday inclusive. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.
• RM CLASSIC CAR EXHIBIT will be closed Friday, open Saturday, and closed Sunday and Monday.
