The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation handed out their fourth quarter payment to the Municipality for hosting the slots at Dresden Raceway.

The payment came in just shy of $170,000.

To date the total amount of money received exceeds $8-million in non-tax gaming revenue.

Chatham-Kent and other municipalities receive 5.25% on the first $65-million of slot revenue.

That figure decreases as profits rise.

Since 1975, the OLG has provided nearly $38 billion to the Province and the people of Ontario.

OLG’s annual payments to the Province of close to $2 billion for the past several years have helped support health care, research, prevention and treatment of problem gambling, amateur sport through the QUEST FOR GOLD program, and local and provincial charities through the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
