Lasalle man charged after crash on Hwy. 40

This morning (May 5)  just after 10:00 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles on Highway 40 at Electric Line.

The collision occurred when a Ford van proceeded to turn northbound onto Highway 40 from Electric Line and struck an oncoming KIA automobile that was southbound on Highway 40.

The male driver of the Ford, a 37 year old man from LaSalle, has been charged with Fail to Yield To Traffic On Through Highway, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

He did not report any injuries.

The female driver of the KIA was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
