Red Devils take two during home opening weekend

Lacrosse_head-300x199The Red Devils took care of their home floor this weekend in Wallaceburg.

Wallaceburg topped Guelph on Saturday (May 3) 14-8 and followed it up with an 11-6 win over Brampton in Ontario Junoor ‘B’ Lacrosse League action.

Wallaceburg improved their record to 3-1 with the pair of victories.

Wallaceburg 14 – Guelph 8

Mike Myers led the way with a goal and 6 assists.

Kyle Dawson was the top goal scorer with 3 goals, he also chipped in with 2 assists.

Mitch Gagnier had 2 goals and 4 assists, while Jordan Durston had a goal and 4 assists.

Noble Jacobs made 27 saves for the victory.

Wallaceburg 11 – Brampton 6

Jordan Durston had a huge game for Wallaceburg, scoring 6 goals and adding 3 assists.

Corey Lucier, Bronson Bea, Kyle Dawson, Mitch Vandamme and Mitch Gagnier were the other goal scorers for Wallaceburg.

Eric Shepley made 34 saves for the victory.

Wallaceburg will head to London on Saturday, May 10 for their next game, and will bolt to Orangeville the next day.
