NDP and Green Party name LKM candidates

A couple of familiar names will be representing the NDP and the Green Party for the upcoming election in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

Long-time NDP supporter and candidate, both in federal and provincial elections, Joe Hill will be representing the party once again.

Hill was set to be officially nominated this week.

Representing the Green Party of Ontario in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex will be Jamie Armstrong.

Armstrong has represented the Green Party before, finishing fourth in the voting in 2011, gathering 987 votes.

Hill finished third in the 2011 election, with 8,882 votes, doubling the parties previous total from 2007.

Both Hill and Armstrong will join current MPP Monte McNaughton of the PC Party and Liberal candidate Mike Radan on the ballots during this years election.

The Ontario election officially gets under way today (May 7.)

Ontario goes to the polls on June 12.
