Lillian Mary Hastings, a resident of Fairfield Park Nursing Home, Wallaceburg passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the age of 103 years.
Lillian is the daughter of the late William James and Phoebe (Armitage) Hastings. Sister of the late Walter (Aileen) Hastings and Phoebe (Donald) DuChene.
Dear aunt of Peter (Betty) DuChene, William (the late Carol) DuChene, Nancy DuChene and Bill (Elaine) Hastings. Also survived by 10 great nieces and nephews and 13 great great nieces and nephews.
Lillian graduated from Public General Hospital School of Nursing 1933, was Life member of Public General Hospital Nurses Association of Chatham, Life member of Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, Life member of Nurses Alumna Association of Public General Hospital, member of Victoria Ave. United Church and attended St. Andrew’s United Church and a longtime member of the U.C.W.
Friends may call at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 1:30 PM on Wednesday, May 28 with the funeral to follow at 3:00 PM. Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
If desired, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Fairfield Park Nursing Home may be left at the funeral home.
