It will be a busy weekend in Dresden!
All the festivities kick start this evening with the annual Pet and Hobby Parade.
The theme this year in “Down On The Farm.”
Kids are being encouraged the dress up, and decorate their bike or trike and walk their pet.
Prizes will be awarded for the following categories”
– Best dressed boy
– Best dressed girl
– Best dressed group
– Best pet
– Best decorated bike
– Best float
– Best non-commercial float
– Judges choice
Marshaling begins at 5 p.m. at Centre and Metcalf Streets, with the parade beginning at 6 p.m.
Free hot-dogs, drinks and games are available at Jackson Park, following the parade.
The fun will continue in Dresden all weekend.
Tomorrow morning (June 7) the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 113 Fishing Derby will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
And on Sunday, June 8, a breakfast will be held at the Dresden Legion from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
