Goose Feathers in Wallaceburg has such a wide-selection of accessories, jewelry, purses and scarves, that an entire room is dedicated to it in the back.
Starting with purses, owner Sally Mahoney said they offer a wide variety.
“We carry the Carlo G, which is an excellent quality purse,” she said. “We also carry Lavolta, this is again another excellent quality purse, beautiful linings inside. Beautiful designs, very current designs. I just came back from Europe, and the colours we have in the store are on trend with what is coming out. I saw some of the styles in Milan a year and a half ago, and we’re just starting to get that here in North America.
Sally added: “If you’re buying here, you’re buying on trend or ahead of the trend. People will be following you.”
Another unique product Goose Feathers offers is by, Beyond The Bag.
“It’s all designed by an airline attendant, she has had a lot of experience with different types of baggage and accessories for baggage and travelling,” she said. “Everything in her line has multiple functions. We have purses that expand, both in length and width. We have purses that have zip-off smaller compartments, for your iPad or for an evening purse.
Sally added: “We have very functional wallets, carry-on bags, purse within a purse, makeup bags or a jewelry bags. Very well thought out products, we’re very proud of it and very proud to be one of the retailers of this product.”
Sally said Goose Feathers offers a variety of jewelry, to suit different tastes.
“We have a variety of jewelry… for people that like lots of bling, we can handle that,” she said. “We can take care of that for you, or for people that like something a little more subtle, we have a variety of products that you can select from as well. We’ve got lots of necklaces, bracelets and in many styles.”
Sally added: “We have the Kameleon Jewelry, it’s a Canadian product and we have a wide-selection of that. We were at one point an exclusive dealer, and now there is one in our area, but still quite a way to drive.”
The scarf selection is vast and affordable, Sally said.
“We have a big selection of scarves and they are very well priced,” she said. “You’ll find similar scarves in dress stores and they’ll be even twice as much as what we sell them for. We’ve had a tremendous success with our selection of scarves because we keep bringing them in and customers say they love the product. Most of our scarves retail between $10 and $20. The only ones we carry that are more than that are the silk scarves and they run around $40.”
