Marjorie Margaret Zavitz of Wallaceburg and formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in her 104th year.

Marjorie is the daughter of the late Albert Henry & Maud Irene (Eckhardt) Weaver.

Beloved wife of the late Percy Zavitz and Owen Hugh Zavitz. Predeceased by her step-children Hugh Zavitz, Sally Sauer, Molly Lenord, Isobel Young and Edward ‘Ted’ Zavitz.

Dear sister of the late Howard Weaver (Edith), Ross Weaver (Olive), Evelyn Hughes (Edward) and Norton Weaver (Lillian).

Marjorie is survived by her daughter-in-law Lorna Zavitz, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie graduated from the University of Toronto in 1934 as an Occupational Therapist and worked in that field for many years.

She was a retired principal at the Happy Craft and Mary Jane Schools in Wallaceburg.

Marjorie’s varied interests included a passion for gardening, photography, bird watching and crafts.

She also enjoyed various travel adventures.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the First Baptist Church (Thomas Ave at Napier Street) in Wallaceburg from 11:30 – 1:30 PM on Thursday, June 26 with the funeral to follow at 1:30 PM.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery. HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg entrusted with arrangements.
