Truck slams into cabin in Erieau

On the 1st of July 2014 at about 2:10 p.m. Chatham Kent Police were called to an address on Erieau Road regarding a vehicle that had struck a building.

Upon arrival police found a pick-up truck had left the roadway and come to rest against a residential cabin.

A 66 year old male driver from Chatham was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with non-life threatening injuries.

There was significant damage to the building (estimated at $35,000).

The driver was later charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
