John Wayne McDonald, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away with dignity and strength in a brave fight against Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the age of 64.
John is the son of the late Clifford Stanislaus & Yvonne Marie (Paquette) McDonald.
Beloved husband of Deb (Evans).
Loving father of Julie Klompstra & Marc Austin, Shannon McDonald & Todd Allen and Meghan & Mark Kennedy.
Dearest Papa of Alexis & Joshua Klompstra, and Sloan & Kullen Kennedy.
John is the oldest of 5 children.
He worked at Libbey Glass and Sunoco Container as a maintenance supervisor.
He was best known as “Johnny Mac” to his avid golfing buddies.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Monday, July 14.
A private family celebration of John’s life will be held on Tuesday.
If desired, remembrances to the Lung Association or the Wallaceburg Salvation Army Food Bank may be left at the funeral home.
