Just before 2:30 p.m. today (July 23) Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the CIBC bank on Petrolia Line.

Investigation indicates that an unknown male entered the bank and produced what appeared to be a handgun. T
he male then fled from the building with an undisclosed amount of money.

The male suspect is described as being approximately 6 feet tall and was wearing a grey hoodie with an emblem on the front, a white shirt, sunglasses, and gloves.

He is estimated to be in his thirties.

No persons were injured during the robbery.

The West Region Canine Unit, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Lambton Criminal Investigation Unit have been called in to assist with the investigation.
