Bike Night Showcases the Down River Band

After taking the stage on Saturday at this years’ Sombra Days, the Down River Band is set to play next Thursday (July 31st) at the Aft Cabin in Sombra. The band has supported many local events showcasing great talent and enthusiasm in their passion for music. The Aft Cabin is a fine dining restaurant which dresses down on Thursday’s to host Bike Nights. So far this summer the Aft Cabin has had a good turnout from the community  bringing people together to enjoy live local bands and drink specials.

Sombra resident and lead singer, Valley Gihuly said he enjoyed performing at Sombra Days and is looking forward to playing in Sombra again. “It’s always a good crowd here,” he said. “It’s probably our favorite place to play because of all the support we get from the Aft Cabin and from family and friends”.

Wallaceburg Resident, Taylor Brown who listened to The Down River Band at Sombra Days said their music appeals to all ages.

“They really impressed me,” she said. “This area has a lot of good talent but after hearing them at Sombra Days they are my favorite local band. They are just crazy talented and everyone loved them”.

The Aft Cabin Restaurant is located at 167 King Street in Sombra. A place where many come to experience the village right on the beautiful Saint Clair River.

The Aft Cabin Restaurant & Garden Patio is open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday opening at 5.p.m.
