McNaughton Ave. paving pushed back for WAMBO

mcnaughton avenue road construction

Some road work on one of Wallaceburg’s busiest roads is not happening until after Wallaceburg biggest event.

Construction was slated to start next week along McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg, but it not going to start until after the Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing.

“As part of our Urban Resurfacing Contract Coco Paving will be mobilizing into Wallaceburg the week of August 11th, to mill the existing asphalt surface on McNaughton Avenue from the CSX tracks to the Lord Selkirk Bridge,” said Matthew Link, engineering technologist with the Municipality. “Before the end of the month the paving crew should arrive and install new asphalt surface. All of this is dependent on the weather cooperating between now and then.”

Link added: “We are holding off on the milling and re-surfacing until after WAMBO.”

WAMBO is taking place in Wallaceburg from August 8-10.
