In Chatham-Kent this summer, 176 students have found valuable employment with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

“The Chatham-Kent Survey of Young People (15–39 years) revealed that young people would like to see more employment and career development opportunities in Chatham-Kent,” said Audrey Ansell, Manager, Resident Attraction and Retention. “We are also reaching out to our young people as part of the “baCK to Chatham-Kent” initiative, encouraging them to stay connected with CK and perhaps return here,” said Ansell.

Cathy Hoffman, Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development said, “These young people are a valuable asset to the community, to Chatham-Kent’s workforce and to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, and we are pleased to be able to provide them with opportunities for paid summer employment, and to support their personal development and career goals.
