Bus safety program coming to A.A. Wright

Safety program for students from the Lambton Kent District School Board & St. Clair Catholic District School Board are set to be held on Saturday, August 16.

As another school year begins, CLASS and the local school bus operators are preparing parents and first time riders from JK – Grade 1 in understanding the importance of school bus safety by hosting a FIRST RIDE Orientation Day on Saturday, August 16 from 10 a.m. –to noon at four different locations simultaneously.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the FREE session, where school bus safety trainers will talk to the children about basic school bus safety rules, how to cross the street safely and how to evacuate a bus in case of an emergency.

The young riders will then board a bus and go for a short ride. The sessions will begin at 10 a.m. and will be approximately one half hour in length.

Chatham-Kent Session Locations:

1) Ursuline College – 85 Grand Avenue West, Chatham

2) A.A. Wright Public School – 55 Elm Street, Wallaceburg

Sarnia-Lambton Session Locations:

1) Northern Collegiate Secondary School – 940 Michigan Avenue, Sarnia

2) Shores Recreation Centre – 7883 Amtelecom Parkway, Forest
