Rene Vink, a resident of Wallaceburg, died peacefully at Fairfield Park on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the age of 85.
Rene is the son of the late Peter & Anna (VanDerVeeken) Vink.
Beloved husband of Annie Alice (Punnewaert). Loving father of Ron Vink (Joanne), Darlene Verhaeghe (Ron), Judy Bogaert and Nancy Van Daele (Gerry).
Dear grandfather of Nicole, Ryan, Erik, Stacey, Terra, April, Bryan, Justin, Jordan and Carly and great grandfather of Layla, Landon, Nora and Jaxon.
Brother of William Vink and Frank Vink (Shirley).
Rene farmed for most of his life, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and loved hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday with parish prayers at the funeral home at 3:30.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Friday, August 15 at 2:30 PM. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
