Lakers drop opener to Admirals

The Wallaceburg Lakers lost 3-1 to the Amherstburg Admirals tonight in their home opener at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena.

“We were happy with the way the boys played tonight,” stated Derek Ellis, assistant coach. “It is going to take at least five games for the rookies to get to the Junoor ‘C’ level. Even with the loss, it was positive. This is a different Wallaceburg Lakers Hockey Club.”

Scoring the only goal for the Lakers was Brock Daugherty with an assist from Bronson Bea.

The Lakers play their next game in Mooretown on Saturday night.
