Emergency plane landing in Oil Springs

Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an agricultural field in the 2200 block of Oil Springs Line, September 14, 2014 around 11:00 a.m. in regards to an aircraft involved in an emergency landing.

St. Clair Township Fire Services, along with Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) also responded and the pilot was transported to hospital with what appears to be minor injuries.

The male pilot, who was alone in the aircraft, experienced in-flight aircraft problems that required him to perform an emergency landing in the field.

There was no one on the ground injured during the incident.

Lambton OPP has cleared from the scene, and Transport Canada has been advised of the incident.

The investigation is continuing.
