Cocaine seized in Wallaceburg drug bust

Yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section, with the assistance of the Community Patrol Branch, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act Search Warrant on Elizabeth Street in Wallaceburg as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Approximately $15,000 worth of cocaine was seized for analysis.

Two sets of digital scales were also seized.

A 59-year old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. He was released with conditions pending a future court date of October 30, 2014.

  1. How much do they have to be caught with before the dealer is not released? These people do not pay taxes on their dealings and probably are recipients of Ontario Works or Ontario Disability. Is this the fault of the Provincial Government shutting down so many prisons?
