The 9th annual Homeward Star Search kick starts tonight at the CBD in Wallaceburg.
The event will run for eight consecutive weeks on Friday evenings, with the finals slated for Nov. 21.
The event is a karaoke-style singing contest, open to anyone 19 years of age and older.
– First prize is $1,000 – sponsored by Homeward Realty
– Second prize is $500 – sponsored by Grant Langstaff and sons
– Third prize is $250 – sponsored by Patterson Motors
– Two people’s choice awards sponsored by Austin and Dunc Hockin
– Kelly Peter’s Love Of Music Award – sponsored by Carol Tracey
– Recording and radio time compliments of 99.1
There is no charge to enter the contest.
