A new business in Dresden will soon be opening its doors, with aims to relieve and relax.

“AD : Annette Doskas Massage Therapy” will be a new massage therapy business located at 592 North Street in Dresden, and welcomes new clients of all ages.

Annette Doskas, owner and Registered Massage Therapist, wishes to educate the community about the benefits that massage therapy can have on numerous ailments.

“Many do not realize the impact therapeutic massage can have,” Doskas said. “Whether it is to manage stress, decrease aches and pains from daily activities, or something more persistent like chronic back pain or sports injury, or even issues such as improving sleep, posture, or pre/post surgical care – massage therapy can be effective and very beneficial.”

Staying true to the desire to promote health and wellness, Doskas said her goal is fairly simple : to provide convenient, effective, high-quality therapeutic care in a comfortable environment.

“It is my belief that everyone should be able to feel important and pampered, while still receiving effective treatment that gets results,” she said.

With chronic pain and arthritic conditions in mind, infra-red sauna and paraffin wax heat treatments are also available at her location as part of massage therapy.

Doskas said she has had hands-on practical time with many clients ranging from infants to seniors, including people affected by many specific ailments and medical conditions such as : diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, pre/post natal & pregnancy, clients with ADHD, hearing and speech/non-communicative difficulties, post-cancer treatment care and more.

Doskas is a local resident, a recent graduate of Lambton College, and a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario. She welcomes appointments by phone or text message (519-359-8668), e-mail (andoskas@cogeco.ca), and Facebook (ADMassageTherapy).

Appointment options include day, evening and weekends, with same-day appointments also being available.

Treatment from a registered massage therapist is often included in many extended health insurance benefit plans.

Doskas encourages people to refer to their insurance provider for specific terms and details.

Doskas said she hopes to be open by Nov. 10.
