Wallaceburg’s Shaun Suisham kicked his career-long field goal today (Nov. 9), as the Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the New York Jets 20-13.
With just one second remaining in the first half, Suisham nailed a 53-yard field goal for the Steelers first points of the game.
Suisham’s previous career-long was 52-yards, something he has done twice.
He nailed a 52-yarder in 2012 as a member of the Steelers and back in 2006 when he was with the Washington Redskins.
So far in 2014, Suisham is having an excellent season.
He is 16-17 on field goal attempts and perfect on PAT’s, 29-29.
Suisham and the Steelers will be on Monday Night Football next week, when they travel to Tennessee to face the Titans.
Kick off is slated for 8:30 p.m.
