Wallaceburg Legion gives and receives donations

Not only was the Wallaceburg Legion Br. 18 in the giving mood on Monday night, they were also on the other end of a donation.

An anonymous donor was at the Quilt Show on Walpole Island when he saw the quilt (pictured above.)

The donor bought the quilt and immediately donated it to Branch 18.

Legion officials said they were very pleased to have the quilt in time for Remembrance Day.

The Legion also handed out some donations of their own on Monday night.

The first being a $500 donation to the Wallaceburg DIstrict Secondary School skating team

Br. 18 also made a $2,500 donation to the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team for their ongoing renovation project at the Wallaceburg Community Medical Centre.
