Principal changes at Christ The King

The Director of Education has announced several mid-year changes in principal and vice principal assignments.

“The announced retirement of Shirley Churchill, Principal of Christ The King Catholic School in Wallaceburg presents an opportunity for a series of changes in assignment, which will help the Board to achieve several goals, including leadership succession planning,” stated Dan Parr, director of education.

“I also want to take this opportunity to thank Shirley for her service to our Board and our students and families,” stated Parr. “May God bless her with good health and a long, happy and fulfilling retirement.”

The following changes in principal and vice principal assignments were announced to the Board of Trustees at the Tuesday, November 11, 2014 meeting:

– Laura Callaghan from Principal, St. Joseph Catholic School, Chatham to Principal, Christ The King Catholic School, Wallaceburg replacing Shirley Churchill, who is retiring.

– Lisa Demers from Principal, Section 23 to Principal, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Chatham.

– Tom Baker from Principal, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Chatham to Principal, St. Agnes Catholic School, Chatham.

– Jeanne Girard from Principal, St. Agnes Catholic School, Chatham to Principal, St. Joseph Catholic School, Chatham.

– Brendan Deery from Principal, St. Joseph Catholic School, Corunna to Principal, Section 23.

– Colleen Cogghe from Vice Principal, St. Joseph Catholic School, Corunna to acting principal at St. Joseph Catholic School, Corunna.

The changes are effective January 1, 2015.
