A local business has stepped up to help the efforts of a Wallaceburg girl.

Rori Bennett, 10, has been gathering toys this past month for the Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario.

Earlier this week, we learned that donations were going a little slow.

It didn’t take long for a local business to step up to the plate and help!

Here is a letter from Rori and her family:

Rori would like to thank Devolder Farms for their very generous donation to her Toy Drive to benefit the Christmas Room at the Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario.

The 63 employees collected toys to be delivered to the children and families who use the house throughout the holiday season.

Rori’s goal is to brighten a child’s day and make them feel special while they are in the hospital, as well as to ease the stress and anxiety of a parent who may not have the time to shop for gifts because they are more concerned about their child in the hospital.

With the help of donations from the community and corporations like Devolder Farms, Rori is closer to reaching her goal.

Thank you Devolder Farms!
