Sarnia Police detectives have laid charges against the young woman who had reported being attacked on Monday, November 24, 2014.
The young woman reported the attack occurred in a commercial alleyway near the intersection of Kathleen Avenue and East Street. She further alleged she was forced to the ground by an unknown male who was able to partially disrobe her. She alleged the assailant was scared off by a passerby who shouted at him.
After an extensive investigation involving several branches of the Sarnia Police Service, the woman admitted she had fabricated the entire incident.
The 25 year old woman was arrested and charged with Public Mischief at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 27, 2014
