Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for Chatham-Kent.
“Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring,” officials stated. “Widespread fog is expected over Southwestern Ontario tonight due to a moist and stagnant airmass. Fog patches are expected to form this evening after sunset, and become more widespead with very low visibilities overnight and early Monday morning.”
Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero, Environment Canada officials say.
“Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. If travelling, be prepared for areas of near zero visibility.”
Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
