The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.

On November 14 and November 16, 2014 the woman was observed stealing clothes from the Thrifty Seconds donation bins in Dresden.

Attempts were made to locate the woman, however when unsuccessful, a warrant for her arrest for the offences of theft under $5000 x2 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 x2 was issued.

Last night, officers located the woman and she was taken into custody.

A 27-year-old Chatham Township woman was released with conditions pending a future court date.

  1. Strange thing is, back about 4 years or so ago my husband and i caught two druggies (and yes they are we are not just guessing), they where litterally climbing in and out of the donation bin taking out bags and then they rode away on their bikes so we followed them. We stopped a police officer and he said there was nothing he could do because the property inside didnt belong to anyone yet until it reached where it is going. So how do you get charged for taking clothing that apparently doesnt belong to anyone?
