A Port Lambton man is in jail charged with impaired driving, following an incident in Wallaceburg.
Police officials say an December 26, at approximately 3 p.m. officers responded to a call on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg, regarding a vehicle striking a curb and almost hitting another vehicle head on.
Officers located that vehicle and stopped it a short time later on Bruinsma.
Police officials say during the stop it was obvious to the officer that the driver of the motor vehicle had been consuming alcohol and was showing signs of impairment.
A 62-year-old Port Lambton man was arrested for impaired driving.
His vehicle was seized and towed.
He remains in custody and will be released when he sobers up with a future court date.
There were no injuries as a result of the near collision.
