Ross Krieger of the Dresden Kings took home some hardware Monday night at the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League awards banquet in Blenheim.
The 17-year-old took home the trophy as rookie of the year.
Krieger was the top scorer for the Kings, finishing with 18 goals and 28 assists, good for 46 points.
He also played in all 40 games this year in his first season with Dresden.
Krieger will hope to lead Dresden to a championship during the playoffs, which kicks starts tonight in Lakeshore.
