Another 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected overnight.

The Public Works Department is continuing to ask residents for their patience and co-operation in moving vehicles from the roadway as winter storm clean-up efforts continue.

The parking ban will continue to be in effect until approximately 4:00 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

Here is more information from the Chatham-Kent Public Works department:

– All roads are now passable. Motorists should exercise caution as there are still sections of roads with snow cover and drifting snow.

– Crews are continuing the clean-up today. Their effort is being directed on clearing alleyways, applying salt, and clearing streets as close to the curb as possible.

– Clean-up efforts in downtown areas will be commencing this evening and continuing overnight and through the next two days as necessary.

Weather forecasts and road conditions will continue to be monitored, with response being adjusted accordingly.
