Police investigating two deaths on Walpole Island

An investigation into the discovery of two adult male bodies continues today as Walpole Island Police Service with assistance from Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Tracy Dobbin from the Criminal Investigation Branch await the results from the post mortem exams.

The incident began February 22, 2015 with the discovery along Public Bush Road resulting in the closing of the area.

Walpole Island Police and the OPP have again opened the road however officers remain on scene.

Although the investigation into these two deaths is in the early stages, there is nothing at this time to suggest that they appear suspicious in nature.

The names of the deceased males will not be released until the completion of the post mortem examinations and forensic testing.
