The season came to an end for the Dresden Kings on Wednesday night, as the Essex 73’s completed the sweep in their Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League series.
When the final whistle blew, it was the 73’s walking away with a 6-2 win.
Dresden got goals from Dillon Liberty and Dede Cato in the loss.
The Kings can still hang their heads high after having a successful playoffs.
Dresden won a thrilling series in the opening round against the Lakeshore Canadiens in seven games, upsetting the number three seed in the league.
