Nely Depooter of Port Lambton died peacefully at Fairfield Park on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the age of 68.
Nely is the daughter of the late John and Jenny (Hoefman) Van Gelder.
She will be deeply missed by her husband John and her children; Charlene Heins (David), Kim Vancoillie (Rick), Kevin Depooter (Renee), Jody Andody (Richard) and Andrea McLeod (Brent).
She was a loved grandmother to Cara, Tosha, Tristan, Caden, Zachary, Jacob, Talia, Dexter, Ethan, Andrew, Julia, Amber, Adam Adelyn, Sarah, Luke and Kate. Sister of Mary Hammel (Paul) and Edwin Van Gelder (Trish).
Nely graduated from the Chatham Hospital nursing program in 1967 and was passionate about her work as a Registered Nurse at Bluewater Health in Sarnia for over 38 years.
She loved spending time playing piano for her church praise team.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Christian Reform Church, 150 Bruinsma Avenue in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday.
The funeral will be celebrated at the church on Saturday at 11 AM.
Interment to follow at McDonald Cemetery in Port Lambton. HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg entrusted with arrangements.
