Gordon Kenneth “Hoot” Workman of Dresden and formerly of Dawn Township, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the age of 76.
Gordon is the son of the late Gordon John & Stella VIRGINIA (Simms) Workman. Beloved husband of Marjorie Ann (Hart). Loving father of Brian (Lorrie), Cynthia, Amanda (John Hodgson) and the late Terry Gordon Workman (1982). Dear grandfather of Mathew (Heather), Kyle (Stacey), Terry (Ashley), Dale (Jamie), Christian, Noah, Mary, Willow and Isla and great grandfather to Eric, Wyatt and Emma. Brother of Richard, Robert, James, Glen, David and the late Donald and Marilyn Workman.
Gord, a close friend of Armand Benoit, loved playing the fiddle, bluegrass & Gospel music, blueberry picking and was a tremendous horseman and avid reader. He was also a member of Zion Free Methodist Church.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday. The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday, March 28 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Duthil Cemetery.
