String of charges for Wallaceburg man

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

In May 2008, the man was issued a Province wide driving prohibition for unpaid fines.

In February 2009, the man was issued another driving prohibition for remedial reasons.

On March 16, 2015 around 2:00 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man driving on Selkirk Street in Wallaceburg.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and charged the man with two counts of driving while under suspension.

His vehicle was towed from the roadway.

On April 8, 2015, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Last night around 9:30 p.m. an officer observed the man driving on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and the man was taken into custody.

A 31-year-old man from Wallaceburg was released pending a future court of May 13, 2015.
